 Today we read Creepy Carrots by Aaron Reynolds illustrated by Peter Brown. Our class just couldn't stop talking about this story! Do you have more thinking you want to share?
 The president of the United States has a big job to do. The president makes rules and laws to keep our country safe and strong.
If you were the president for the day what rules would you make and why?  We voted for a president today and we voted for a name for the library gorilla and we voted for the Buckeye Book Awards.
 We read great books last week. Which one was your favorite? Tell us what you liked about the story.
 We are learning about connections. We noticed connections go through the day. We make connections to help us learn how to spell new words, to find answers in math, to get story ideas and to understand the story.
