We learned about Caldecott books from our friends in Texas. Here are the books we found in our room.
We like all these books, but Creepy Carrots and Interrupting Chicken both won our weekly book vote!
We skyped with Mrs. Alaniz's 4th garde class from Texas. They taught us about Caldecott book awards. We found some Caldecott book winners in our classroom.
@itspeterbrown tweeted us again!
Peter Brown is an author illustrator. He wrote and illustrated You will Be My Friend and he illustrated Creepy Carrots and many more fun books! He is very funny! He was very happy to see us tweeting with Mrs.Alaniz's class about his book CREEPY CARROTS!
For more information on Peter Brown see our Book Trailors and Authors page.
Today we had an an jungle parade.
We got a present, it was matacognition. That means we think about our thinking and it's a great present because we take it everywhere!
We discover there are keys in reading that help us get to the authors message.
We have tulips, bulbs, a starfish and a sand dollar to wonder about.
And we have 2 beetles!
