We had a walk-a-thon at our school. A walk-a-thon is when we walk or run laps. We get money for the laps. Our class walked 264 laps! We hope we win!

We are writing real true stories that happened to us. We call these stories personal narratives. When we are uncareful we learn that it brings us to a new start. 

We read lots of books and we are learning how to choose books. Readers look at the cover of books to see if they are interesting and at the words and pictures to see if they are easy, just right or challenging. Readers read book that are easy, just right and challenging.

We are having a walk-a-thon to raise money for our school. Last year our school used the money to buy Elmos for the classrooms!
In the walk-a-thon we walk laps. When we walk we count our laps with the tag on our back.
We can get $$$$$$ for each lap!
