I bet meeting Steve Harpster was a lot of fun! I met Cynthia Rylant once, she was really fun to meet. Do you know which books she writes? Which Steve Harpster book is your favorite?

Steve Harpster was fun to meet. He taught us how to draw and he was funny when he made the animals move. We think it's cool you met Cynthia Rylant. We had a little trouble remembering which book Cynthia Rylant wrote, but we got it! The Great Gracie Chase. We love All of Steve Harpster's books!

What fun to meet Steve Harpster today! Would any of you like to be authors or illustrators someday? What would you write (draw) about?

Sounds like fun! Jaden came home and taught me how to draw a monster out of numbers!

That is so cool! Will you add your animals to our VoiceThread? Jaden can show you how!

You guys all did a great job illustrating! Maybe you'll illustrate your own books someday. Keep up the good work. And, Duncan, of course you'd make a Ninja, your favorite thing!

Lydia was very excited to share with me what she had learned from Mr. Harpster. She has been doing many of her own illustrations at home.

Thank you! We do illustrate our own books now in writer's workshop. Yes Duncan would make a Ninja!
