Voting is the most important responsibility we have as citizens of this great country. I'm proud of you for learning about the people who want to be our leaders. I hope you always remember how important this is to you and your families.

Voting for the president is important. Thank you for telling us voting is important because it is. We do have a great country because we have our families.
Why do you think voting is important?

Voting is important because no matter who you are, your vote counts just as much as anyone else's. Whether you have a lot of money or very little, live in a big house or no house at all, no matter the color of your skin or whether you like Ohio State or Michigan. Our votes are counted and we get to help make really important decisions about our country.

That is a big decision we get to make for ourselves. Thank you for your comments.

I'm eagerly awaiting the results of the Gorilla naming race. I wish it were on my ballot when I voted! (Go Bananas!)

Thanks. I'd also like to know the books that were on the ballot! My favorite book when I was little was "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak

Mr. Thaman,
To see the books go to the literacy page of this blog. Most of us are familiar with this book and we love it too.
