I've always wondered why it doesn't melt?

My mom thinks that they fry cone then put ice cream on top of it.I have n clue how they make it?

I just saw a special on how they make fried ice cream! It was really cool. They wrapped a few slices of pound cake around an ice cream scoop, dipped it into batter , put them into the freezer for a few hours then QUICKLY threw the frozen balls into the fryer!
Does this remind you of our science unit on changing matter and its properties?
