When I congratulated the writers of room 208 for making it to the end of the #30 Day Writing Challenge hosted by the team at Two Writing Teachers the room instantly erupted in groans and moans. Suddenly-Grace bolts up and with uncontrollable exuberance and shouts- "Can we make our own challenge? We want to keep writing!" Well, what teacher would say no to such a request? Certainly not me I have learned so much about these kids, their interest, their writing processes, and as young people with lives beyond the classroom! As soon as kids were off to Writer's Workshop I couldn't help but notice the line forming at the easel, Grace had created a sign up sheet for our challenge! We invite you you follow the links below and learn about us. Of course you can comment! That's the best part of the challenge, the conversations! Stop back daily for the latest post. *Note some writers are writing in their writers notebooks.
