How exciting to have meal worms in your class! I know you will learn lots from watching them. I've never seen one either. Be sure to post all the changes you see. I'll be waiting to find out.

OIivia "I noticed the mealworms ate all the apples we left them"

Aidan says "I noticed that when I looked with the magnifying glass some mealworms were going under the apple."

Nic says "I noticed some were going under the meal to hide from the light."

Mealworms. Hmmm...I wonder if my first graders would like some of these? If I get them, will I need to change the container often?

We think your class would enjoy mealworms "because they are kind and gentle and they don't bite." Said Grace. Nic says "yes because they move faster in the dark."
