Science-
We have mealworms. We are learning about how they grow. We are wondering if they are eating when they are a pupa (turning into a beetle).

Reading-
We are reading many different versions of the story of The Three Bears. This is helping us think about books we can read my ourselves, books I can read with another reader, and books someone will read to me.

Mrs. Frazier ordered new books from Amazon, and they came this week. We got I am a Story by Dan Yaccarino, I will Not Eat You by Adam Lehrhaupt , and They All Saw aCat by Brendan Wenzel.

Together we read the Hungry Giant's Soup by Joy Cowley , and we learned about reading voices and the characters voices. When characters are talking, we make our voices high or low. We know when they are talking because we see quotation marks.

Writing-
We are making a lot of great stories, and we are learning to us mentor authors. We can write like Dan Yaccarino, Ame Dyckman, and other friends in our class.

We are learning to spell new words by using our linking charts and parts of words we know like wow and cow and now.

Miyu wrote and shared her first book in Educreations. (see below)

Math-
We have new math folders that help us learn about tens and ones in numbers.
We have new math partners.
We have our first math exemplar where we look for lots of ways to solve a problem.

We celebrate that everyone loves this school, we will have veterans visiting our school on veterans day, we made the They song(see below)

Kypton let Anderson play football.

Addison got a caring kids award for standing up and owning it!`

We are getting a reading graph booklet Monday!
