Each day is a step in becoming who we will be. Learning is in the process, and not one step is more or less important than the one before or after. Becoming learners who believe in themselves and who are willing to take the risks necessary to grow takes deliberate patience and recognition. Enable our early learners to continue on this journey, honor all the steps on the way.
To honor and celebrate our journey we are joining the Celebration Link-Up with Ruth Ayers. Each week Mrs. Ayers will host a Celebration Link-Up on her web site Discover, Play, Build.

Celebrate Week 1

Week one, or at least, the first three days are in the books. It has been a smooth start and the kids have been amazing!  We are all excited to learn about each other and school. I asked the kids if they wanted to celebrate our learning and here's what they said:
Mason “ We read lots of books!”
Zoe “We are proud of ourselves for writing.”
Caleb “Waiting is not Easy.” was my favorite bookjthis week.
Gaven “We read books with a buddy.”
Zackary “I learned that my name has two tall letters. I loved eating lunch in the cafeteria.”
Graham “ My favorite books were You’re Finally Here, The Book with No Pictures, and Catelina Magadelena Hoopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan logan Bogan Was Her Name.”
Paxton When I was Five was my favorite book.
Mrs. Frazier “I have 24 brand new friends who I get to read, write, and learn with EVERY DAY!
Anslee “ In art I learned a new way to draw a face.”
Shannon “We got to go to gym.”
Anderson “When we came in this morning we had a message to read.”

Thanks for reading and please leave us a comment below! We will read them together as a class each Monday morning!

Hello Firsties! That is what I call the students in my First Grade class! We are starting our third week of school together and learning some of the same things. I agree with Mrs. Frazier, it is exciting to learn together EVERY DAY! I wonder what new adventures you will have this week?
