The first few days of first grade have been so smooth! The kids have been eager to learn and are learning to persevere through an ENTIRE day! I must say, they are doing an incredible job. I am sure they're falling apart once they reach home!
The week has been filled with new books, reading, writing, counting, and routines! the students have embraced each part of our day like a trooper. Lunch in the cafeteria and recess has been a highlight for many!

TidBits to know:
  • WE will post student centered weekly celebrations on our tab, Celebrate Weekly. Please visit and comment to the kids, they will LOVE IT!
  • Our Special Schedule is A day- Music, B day Art, and, C day Gym. Tennis shows are required for gym days.
  • Next week we have Monday A, Tuesday B. Wednesday C, Thursday A, Friday B
  • We had our first town hall meeting and fire drill. Both of these will occur monthly.
  • If you haven't sent in your family photos please do so soon!
  • We have not had an opportunity to share our books from home yet. We will be keeping books from home until next Friday.
  • Mrs. Hay and Mrs. Bradley frequently come into our room and work with kids. You may either name or both regularly.
  • If you haven't joined our private Facebook- Parents in the Know you are missing ongoing, real time updates.
  • You can also follow us on twitter @Frazierde
  • You can follow or twitter feed even if you're not on Twitter! (look right!)
  • I like to call each family in the early weeks of school to get to know you and your child better. The connection between student/teacher and parent/teacher relationships and success in school is real. Please don't be alarmed when I call you. (My cell ends in 9657, if you see this on your phone, I am not a political caller, haha)
The comment section below is for you! PLEASE use them. If you're wondering something, others are as well. Your questions can help us all!
Of course, if you have questions or concerns that are more individual or private, Deb_Frazier@hboe.org is best.

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep us in the loop! I love knowing what goes on in your classroom, how the kids are doing and what they are learning! 😊
